Season starts for One Stop Family Pop Up!

We were awareded Neighborhood grant by Citizens Committee for New York City this year too! 

We provide accessibility to public events for all people and especially families who have small kids. We will open call guest artists for our workshop during July-October.

You will never be worried about time or place for changing diaper during you and your baby enjoy summer public event.

1 Stop Family Pop Up @Mini Market!

People enjoyed a beautiful autumn day at Socrates Park. 

 We set two tents. Left is the artist’s tent and right is the lactation tent. A play yard, diaper changing table, nuts free table, priority seats, and stroller parking were aside.

There were also diapers, changing sheets, wipes, some clothes, dirty bags, and sanitizer gels on the diaper-changing table. Those supplies are the things parents need to carry when they go out with a baby. This makes it difficult to parents to visit events especially outdoors. We want to make change on it.

The guest artist Gina invited people to join her WS. Not only kids but also many adults enjoyed process of making bags with beautiful color gel. 

There was a play yard, so parents keep their toddler safe and then could participate in the art WS or, take some extra materials and enjoy cratering your art works at a home!

Shopping at Materials For The Arts

Alongside our accommodations, we also host a workshop for families at each event.  We are excited to announce that we have now selected our guest artists from our open call!

We arranged a trip to the Materials For The Arts  for three of our guest artists last week.

The materials they picked up will be used in their One Stop Family Pop Up workshops, free to the public.

 

We were very excited to receive these supplies at no cost!

Gina Verdi, One Stop Family Pop Up guest artist: "I was focusing on flexible, shiny, and transparent items. I also got practical items: a box, some clothesline, some big envelopes with clear windows, etc for setup/directions."

"Here are the phone cases I got at MFTA. They are flexible plastic. My plan is to have people cut off the edges of the cases to make a flat piece and use them in the sensory gel bags. "
